She was born on November 28, 1930, in McCauley, Manitoba, to David and Anna Wiebe. Shortly after, the family moved to Gardenton, MB where she grew up. She often spoke fondly of her childhood in Gardenton where she enjoyed a simple life in a close-knit community with her siblings, John, Olly, and Henry.
She met dad at a wedding and they were married on July 9, 1955. They lived on a farm in Ste. Elizabeth and in 1969 decided to move to Winnipeg where she worked, attended church and raised their four children. Mom and Dad were married for 63 years.
Anita was a kind, loving, giving and very sincere person. Her faith was strong and together with her beloved Johnny, provided a loving and nurturing Christian household for her children and grandchildren.
Anita is survived by her children, Debbie (Brian), Rob (Lynn), Gail (Mike) and Janet (Marc); and grandchildren, Steven, David, Samantha (Mitchell), Luke, Brett, Alex, Katherine and Patrick.
She is predeceased by her husband John; parents, David and Anna Wiebe; and her siblings, John, David, Olly and Henry.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) in Winnipeg.
The family would like to thank the staff at Riverview Medical Centre for their compassionate care of Anita.
Memorial service will be held at North Kildonan Mennonite Church, 1131 Roch Street, on Monday, January 20, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. Private interment at St. Elizabeth Cemetery.

What a wonderful woman of God this beautiful woman was. I have so many beautiful memories of Mrs. Voth. She lit up the room when she walked in and always had a kind word for everyone around her. I remember spending many nights and weekends with Debbie and I loved sitting around the kitchen table with the Voths laughing and sharing stories. She was like a second mom to me. You will be missed! So sorry to hear about your mom. Extending deep and heartfelt sympathy to you and your family. - Posted by: Monique and Dave Coffell (Neighbors of Rob and Lynn) on: Jan 16, 2020
Son of Betty and John I. Friesen. I remember that lovely smile and loving spirit of Mrs. Anita Voth.. My mother absolutely loved her as Mrs. Voth made the quagmires of Ste. Elizabeth home for my mom. She also opened her home to a couple of us rotten Friesen kids when we went to college. Always caring. I loved her. She made this world a happier time for people like me. Thank you dearly. Even Mr. Voth was good to me as he explained to me that a south paw could also use a right handed hammer. They will always be missed by me . Love Randy and Nora. - Posted by: Randy Friesen (Friend of the family) on: Jan 16, 2020
