Geri and family, I wanted to attend the service today but I seem to have picked up a bug... didn’t want to share with others so I opted to stay home. I have many fond memories of Monte, working in the dialysis unit at HSC in the early 70’s as a new grad. It was an exciting time, with the first kidney transplants in Manitoba taking place . Monte was among the first and obviously did really well. One day he took me for a ride in his very cool car. What I remember most was that it had a push button gear shift, something I’d never seen before or since, I became friends with Geri and attended their wedding a few years later. My husband and I visited their fishing lodge in Ontario, so I have may fond memories of him as a funny, smart, hardworking guy. He will be missed! My condolences to Geri and the family. - Posted by: Carol Youngson ( Jackson) (Nurse) on: Jan 27, 2020
