GORDON LESTER CLARKE
Diagnosed with cancer in 2002, Gord endured many difficult treatments, but cancer did not win this battle. Gord passed from complications following a second stem cell transplant. Thank you to the wonderful doctors and nurses/staff on GD6 at Health Sciences Centre and CancerCare Manitoba.
Gord was predeceased by his parents, Rev. John (Jack) and Gwen Clarke and the grandparents, aunts and uncles he grew up with; also Michelle's parents, René and Lucille Dumaine. Waiting for Gord at Rainbow Bridge is Spy, his smartest dog.
He leaves to mourn his wife Michelle (née Dumaine); daughters, Lucie, Karen (Aaron); sister Valerie (Jody); sisters-in-law, Evelyn Dumaine-Marshall (Mickey) and Lisa Dumaine; nephew Justin Delorme-Signer (Barbara and daughter Adélie); niece Renée Delorme; aunt Ruth Parker; as well as many wonderful cousins and dear friends, neighbours, work colleagues; and of course Sam, his good brown dog.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 25, 2020, at All Saints' Anglican Church on Osborne Street. Courtesy parking is available across the street from the church at the Great-West Life lot. Following the service, a light luncheon will be served.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Gord's name to CancerCare Manitoba, Winnipeg Humane Society, All Saints' Church Organ Fund, or consider making a blood/platelet/stem cell donation.

My sincere condolences to Gord’s family. I know Gord from St. Boniface Golf Club, where we played a number of times together. Gord always had a kind word for everyone and will be missed by his golfing buddies. - Posted by: Joseph Laxdal (Golfing friend) on: Jan 18, 2020
