OLGA HLADIUK
Olga is survived by one sister-in-law Judy Hladiuk and numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and a hand full of great-greats; and many family friends. Olga was predeceased by her husband Peter in 1998.
Olga was born in Grande Pointe, Manitoba in 1923. She met Peter and they were wed in 1952. This was the beginning of a life together, that would see them drive from coast to coast visiting family and friends as they went. One of Olga's greatest joys was getting into the car with Peter on Sunday afternoons and seeing where the car would take them.
She was a loving and caring wife and aunt, but also a very independent lady who insisted on taking care of herself until the very end. She enjoyed gardening, dancing to polka music and being involved in the Ukrainian Orthodox church, but most of all, she loved hearing about the adventures of her family.
Thank you to the staff at Concordia Village for their friendships over the last nine years and a very special thank you to the nursing and care aide staff at Health Sciences Centre for their care and support over the past month.
Funeral Service to be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, on Monday, January 20, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main Street, Winnipeg.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Olga's memory to a charity of choice.
