  • Dear Danny, Jennifer, Chris, Riley, Mark, Sandra, Camryn, and Alexis, Uncle Dave and I are so very sorry and sad to hear of Linda's untimely passing. She was a wonderful, loving and friendly genuine lady, always eager to help in any way she could! We so enjoyed the many Unrau family gathering at your house, as she was the perfect hostess! She enjoyed a good joke and loved sharing stories about all her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy! We will miss those visits, stories and many chats. Hold and treasure the precious memories close in your heart and may they comfort you at this time of sorrow. Lovingly and with heart to heart hugs and deepest and sincerest sympathy, Uncle Dave and Auntie Jeanne XOXO - Posted by: Dave and Jeanne Unrau (Uncle and Aunt to Linda) on: Jan 21, 2020

  • Dear Danny and family, Lori, Brian and Mr Crozier, Linda was my first friend when I entered grade 5 at Springfield Heights School. I remember walking a longer route to stop by her home on McCauley Crecent and walk to Chief Peguis with her. She joined me in CGIT at John Black Church where we met the third member of our "trio" Kathy Schaefer. One fun story is how for the Christmas candlelit Vesper Service we were chosen to be Mary and Joseph. Being the taller of the two, I got to be Joseph. We borrowed a doll of my sister's. On the night of the service Linda came prepared with a stash of candy which we enjoyed in the manger! Linda was one of my first friends to get a part time job, and no-one worked harder than her. Whatever task she tackled she gave 100%. Working for Manitoba Heslrh for 35 years is a testament to that work ethic. She and Kathy remained steadfast friends and were in each other's wedding parties. Even though our paths did not cross often in our adult life, she was a friend who came into my life for a reason, helping me transition to a new school and navigate middle school, which is now coincidentally where I thrive as a teacher. Thank you Linda for being a good friend, and to the family she leaves behind my condolences. I am so sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Patti Douglas (Childhood/school friend ) on: Jan 18, 2020
