MALVINA (MOLLY) THERESA SMERCHYNSKI
Malvina was born November 29, 1927.
Malvina was predeceased by her parents and her youngest son Terrance in 2008. Malvina is survived by her two sons, Glenn and Rod (Brenda); seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sisters, Lorraine and Verna; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Malvina grew up in Hadashville, Manitoba and has two sisters, Verna and Lorraine. She married her loving husband Michael in 1956 and both moved to Uranium City that same year. They moved back to Winnipeg in 1963, where she was a homemaker, loving wife and mother of three sons. She attended St. Edwards Catholic Church on a regular basis.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday January 28, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Edwards Roman Catholic Church, 836 Arlington Street, Winnipeg. Interment to follow in Assumption Cemetery.
A special thanks to all of Malvina's home care support workers and the doctors and nurses at Health Sciences Centre. A special thanks to nurse Crystal on GH6 for showing the family such wonderful compassion during Malvina's final hours.
