BEATRICE CATHERINE CECILIA SIMES
Beatrice Catherine Cecilia Simes (Eberle), lovingly known as Bea, 82, formerly of Regina, Saskatchewan, passed January 20, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Bea was born in her parents' home in the farming community of Lajord, Saskatchewan on January 16, 1938. Bea loved children! After raising six daughters, Bea earned her diploma in Early Childhood Education and spent 20 years working with disadvantaged children. Bea was not only active in her church, she volunteered for multiple charitable organizations and was a dear friend to those in need of love and support as often as laughter and fun times. Bea was a loving spouse, mother, nana, great-nana, daughter, sister and friend, and her absence will be felt by all who knew her.
Bea married the love of her life, Bill, on November 21, 1959. They were married for 50 years.
Bea is survived by her six daughters, Cynthia, Susannah, Leslie, Maureen, Tracey and Lisa; her sons-in-law, John, Russ, Emil, Dany and Andy; 16 grandchildren, Joshua, Adam, Krystina, Drew, Adrien, Sam, Jace, Jesse, Camryn, Helena, Benjamin, Ava, Jeremy, Matthew, Boston and Sloane; one great-granddaughter Echo-Soleil; and has a great-grandson on the way. She is survived by her sisters and sisters-in-law, Clementine, Geraldine, Lynn, Joan, Lorraine, Betty, Floydey and Dorothy; her brothers and brothers-in-law, Edwin, Gordon, Kenneth, Jack, James and Kelly; and too many wonderful nieces, great-nieces, nephews, and great-nephews to count.
Bea was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill; her parents, Christopher and Helen Eberle; her siblings, Stan, Alfred, Louise and Roland; her parents-in-law, Westley and Katherine Simes; her siblings-in-law, Rose, Clem, Leonard, Jessie, Lawrence, Francis, Richard, Marie, Clarence, Don and Sonia.
A special thank you goes out to the staff of the 3rd floor at Concordia Hospital, Home Instead Senior Care and the Waverley and Rosewood Retirement Home for their care and compassion over the past two years.
The funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, January 25, 2020 at St. Peter's Parish, 100 Argyle St. N., Regina, SK. Father Ferdinand will be officiating. Lunch will follow.
In lieu of donations, please consider giving to a charity that touches your heart in Bea's honour.
