It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of their dearly beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and dear friend, with family by her side, on January 13, 2020, at the age of 55, at the Health Sciences Centre.
Left to mourn and lovingly remembered by husband Kevin, daughter Candace Carlyle, son Kyler Funk (Nicole), six grandchildren, Robyn, Ben, Madden, Aiden, Summer and Nick, mother June Olenick, brothers, Danny, Ken Jr. and Darren (Jen), sister-in-law Kim Champagne (Dennis), brother-in-law Kurt Funk (Darlene), many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew, cousins and friends.

Kim was born on May 3, 1964, in St. Boniface, Manitoba. She graduated from Sisler High School, then went on to work for C.I.B.C. for over 35 years. Kim married the love of her life, Kevin, and they were married for over 33 years and knew each other for 41 years. Kim loved her grandchildren and family very much. She loved travelling, gardening, going to the cottage, fishing, crafts and playing cards. She loved her many pets she had through the years. She also loved to watch her favourite sports teams compete, the Green Bay Packers and the Winnipeg Jets, and always took advantage of attending a game. Kim had an infectious smile and laugh as well as a wonderful sense of humour.
A celebration of Kim's life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg.

  • Dear Kevin and Family, I am so very sorry to hear of Kim's passing. Though we haven't been in high school for many years, I have very fond memories of Kim's kindness and laughter. She always had a smile for everyone. When I would see the two of you together in the hallway, I just always knew it would be forever. I cannot imagine the pain you are all going through at this time. May the love that surrounds you carry you through this difficult time. Barbara Judt & family. - Posted by: Barbara Judt (High School friend) on: Jan 23, 2020
