PHILLIP EUGENE (GENE) SCHELLENBERG
1957 - 2020
He leaves to mourn his passing two sisters, Martha (Wally) Wicha, Mary Schellenberg, two brothers, John (Kathy) Schellenberg and Joe (Carol) Schellenberg, sister-in-law, Jocelyne (his brother, Henry deceased 2013) Schellenberg and their families. He was predeceased by his parents, Henry H. and Mary Schellenberg. Gene was a giving, kind-hearted soul who will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Viewing will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Friday, January 24, 2020, at the Altona EMM Church, 158 2nd St. NE. Interment to follow at the Plum Coulee Cemetery.
Donations may be made to assist the family with expenses.

I want to express my sympathy to all of the family members of Gene. Everyone in this family is special to me as I was good friends with Henry and even lived with him for a couple of years and this helped me feel connected to Gene, and others as well. While I didn't see Gene frequently over the years, I recall always enjoying his personality every time I met and talked with him.
