EUGENIA (IRENE) STILKOWSKI
Irene was born in Green Oak, Manitoba to Paul and Cassie (nee Kandi).
She married Michael Stilkowski on June 3, 1945, and farmed in Thalberg and then moved their family to Winnipeg in 1965. Farming was always in her blood and she continued to have a large vegetable and flower garden. Irene was known for her hospitality and was an amazing perogy and cabbage roll maker. She was a great cook and enjoyed family gatherings and loved to golf with her kids.
She will be sadly missed by her five children: sons, Larry (Bernadette), Norman (Veronica) and Al, daughters, Gayle and Marilyn (Ralf Dyck), granddaughters, Kailley (Andrew Roncadin), Neala (Tim Proveda), and great-grandchildren, Mia, Adam, Henry and Sydney (Jason) and JC.
She is survived by her brother Eugene (Elizabeth), sister Liz Strecker (Clarence), sister-in-law Mary Hutniak, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Mike in 1998, brothers, Steve, Ed, and sisters, Kay Mitchell, Olga Peluk and Judy Weatherill.
A special thank you goes out to the 3rd floor staff at Golden West for their kindness and compassion throughout the years.
Mom, Granny, Great-Granny,
we will miss you and love you lots.
A celebration of Irene's life will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 26, 2020, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB. Please wear something red, Irene's favourite colour.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)
Our prayers and thoughts are with all of you at this difficult time. I had to smile as we must be related as my favourite colour is red. Take care to all of you. - Posted by: Bill and Darlene Wilkie (Neice) on: Jan 27, 2020
I have many treasured memories of visiting Auntie Sophie at the farm in Thalberg and spending time with the lovely Irene in her immaculate kitchen. I will always remember her beautiful red hair and gentle manner. Sincerest condolences to the family. May she Rest In Peace. Cousin Dianne. - Posted by: Dianne Andrews (Pasaluko) (Family) on: Jan 24, 2020
