DENNIS WILLIAM BARKER
Dennis was born and raised in Winnipeg. There he met his wife, Josephine whom he married on July 12, 1969 and together they moved to Oakbank. Their family grew, and they ventured to the great white north soon after. There they resided in Gillam, MB and worked (the mighty mechanic along the "Nelson".)
Retiring to Winnipeg until the death of his wife, he moved to Kleefeld, the land of milk and honey and upon his failing health he moved to God's country, Grunthal, MB. It was here he got to know his redeemer, Jesus Christ a whole lot better.
He was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Mary Barker; sister Diane and the love of his life, Josephine.
He is survived by his son Jon (Tasha); daughter Robynne (Rheal); nephew David; and grandchildren, Alexis, Aiden, Pierce and Max.
Dad, we know you're in the Promised Land having coffee with mom. We will meet on those beautiful shores, we love you and will defend our Christian faith and heritage. The everlasting legacy, you left for us. To God be the glory! Amen.
A memorial service will be held May 16, 2020 at St. Pierre Bible Fellowship Church, Lavoie Ave, St-Pierre-Jolys, MB at 2:00 p.m.

Condolences & Memories (5 entries)
condolences to Dennis family. He was a true friend. We worked together in Winnipeg and Gillam. If you needed help he was there. Rest In Peace my friend. - Posted by: gerry timlick (friend) on: Feb 16, 2020
I first met Dennis through his wife Jo. My wife Val and I met her at the church we began attending upon arriving in Gillam. Thereafter, i would run into Dennis quite often, either at work, the local Rec Center, or at church potlucks. It was always a blessing connecting with him in these venues as he always met you with a friendly & respectful demeaner and humor - it was always refreshing and a joy to spend time with him. I recall dropping off fleet vehicles on occasion to Kettle garage where he worked, and I always left for the better after having spent even 2 minutes chatting with Dennis. He will be greatly missed. Our deepest condolences and prayers are with you. Lloyd & Val Neufeld Beausejour - Posted by: Lloyd Neufeld (Friend/co-worker) on: Jan 31, 2020
