DIANE (MARGARET) MONCADO
(nee ROBERTSHAW) (formerly GLASS)

After a long, incredibly brave battle with multiple health conditions, Diane M. Moncado (nee Robertshaw) (Glass) passed away at home on Wednesday, January 22, 2020, with Ali and Glenn by her side.
She was predeceased by husband Joe Moncado, her parents, Marg and Doug Robertshaw, and sister Nancy.
She is survived by son Cameron Glass, daughters, Allison and Glenn Leaf, Sheila and Kelly Yanisiw, granddaughter Bailey and family, her beloved Aunt Ruth Craddock and family, extended Moncado family, Cathy Klassen and family, Mum's lifelong (since Grade 7) friend June Bollenbach, as well as friends, Carol and Darylyn.
Diane was born in Winnipeg, June 1, 1942, and lived in Norwood, East Kildonan, Birds Hill - Burton Avenue, Leighton Avenue, then, after many years, back to Henderson Highway.
She worked at several jobs before starting her career with the Federal Government, where she spent 30 years in various positions. She loved to travel and loved her trip to Victoria and the Island. Due to health issues, she never got a chance to further enjoy.
A paramedic told me how Mum was a trooper, after I told him she had fought breast cancer, several heart attacks, dementia, and cancer again. I know my mum was a fighter, she fought a long, hard battle, and now she is at peace. I am so grateful to have been with her, and she wasn't alone at the end.

"Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment, until it becomes a memory".
