IDA (EDITH) BURKETT
(nee SINGBEIL)
Mom:
For all those times you stood by me,
For all the joy you brought to my life,
For all the wrong you made right,
For every dream you made come true,
For all the love I found in you.
I'll be forever thankful Mom.
You're the one who held me up,
Never let me fall.
You're the one who saw me through it all.
I'm everything I am, because you loved me.
Daughters: Nancy (Steve) Hooper, Janice (Ken) Ray, and Patsi (Don) Gagne.
Grams:
Our Gramma was the strongest, most supportive, compassionate, loving woman we knew. She was funny. We mean laugh out loud funny and inappropriate in the very best ways. She was our rock and had an enormous impact on each and everyone of us. She fueled us with enough love to last a lifetime.
Grandchildren: Brandi (Tony) Brown, Kristi (Fred) Hilton, Ashleigh (Mike) Guzzi, Cassarah (Randy) Tesluck, Derek Hooper, and Brittney (Rick) Chabbert.
Great-Gramma/Gi-Gi:
Whenever we look at the star filled sky
and see a star blinking, we will know it's
you waving down at us.
Great-grandchildren: Jesse and James Hilton, Savanna and Sophie Brown, Siena and Alessa Guzzi, Jagger and Lexon Tesluck, and
Dreya Ida Chabbert.
From the bottom of our hearts we thank the staff of Middlechurch Home. Love to Auntie Evelyn Pestrak and nephew Randy Prest for always caring.
In lieu of flowers, if you can still call your mom, tell her how much you love her. You are the only person who knows what her heart sounds like from the inside.
Celebration of Life will be planned for early summer.
Now Mom you're with Dad and
we'll love and miss you both forever.

We only had the opportunity to meet Ida a handful of times but we knew her through the rich stories told by her daughters and granddaughters. Before ROFL even existed, we literally laughed our heads off when regaled with tales of Grandma. It became tradition to ask of any new Ida "adventures" every time we got together with the Gange/Brown family. The stories never disappointed! Ida was absolutely one of a kind. - Posted by: Bourcier-Schenker family (Family friends) on: Feb 23, 2020

Oh so sad to have to say, my Condolences to this wonderful, amazing woman's family! I met Edith when she would visit with her brother at the place I was working at back then. I so enjoyed both her's and her brother's company, and we became fast friends. Unfortunately, I lost touch with her a couple of years ago. Wish we could have visited one more time. Be at Peace Edith, and say hi to the rascal for me. I loved you dear lady, and will always be thinking of you! - Posted by: Colleen Belanger (friend) on: Feb 15, 2020

Sincerest condolences to all the family. We cannot tell everyone how much having Edith in our lives meant to us. She was a great friend, she could take the simplest event and turn it into a fun time that everyone would talk about and say ‘remember when Edith did’ and break into laughter. She was great God mother to our four children, when my youngest daughter Debra came in from Vancouver for a visit the first thing she arranged was a visit with Edith. In the Legion she hugged my son and he would love it. I’m sure everyone who met Edith , instantly knew she was special person who comes along once in a persons life if they are very, very lucky. We’ll miss having you here Edith and remember you always. To all the family thank you for sharing Edith (your mum, grandma, and great grandma) with all of us, you are all in our thoughts and prayers.
