JEAN BEVERLEY (BEV) LAMB
(MACKINNON)
June 19, 1928 - January 24, 2020
Bev is survived by her son Terry Lamb (Sandra), grandson Kevin Lamb, grandson Brent Lamb and great-granddaughter Emmy; daughter Susan Lewis (Murray), grandson Adam Lewis (Becky), great-grandsons, Holden and Cody, grandson Dale Lewis (Chelsea), great-granddaughter Scotty; and daughter Julie Halfdanson (Russ).
Bev was predeceased by her husband Robert Duncan (Dunc) Lamb, father J. Percival MacKinnon, mother Gladys MacKinnon, sisters, Elsie Lynch, Kay Palmer and Joyce McEwen, brothers-in-law, Mack Lynch, Vic Palmer and Larry McEwen, and an infant brother Frank.
Bev was born and raised in MacGregor, Manitoba. After high school she attended the University of Manitoba and then married Dunc in 1947. Bev was busy with three children, working in the S. R. Lamb and Son Solo Store with Dunc, curling, 4-H, figure skating, golfing, and serving on community committees and boards.
Dunc and Bev sold the store in 1970 and moved to Portage la Prairie where Bev worked at the Portage Library. Bev happily spent time gardening, entertaining, golfing and travelling. Her favourite place was Delta Beach and she was happiest when spending time with family and friends.
After Dunc passed away Bev moved back home to MacGregor, first to the Assisted Living facility and then the MacGregor Personal Care Home.
The family wishes to thank all the staff of the personal care home for providing a very caring and compassionate home, Dr. Finney and Dr. Omichinski for their care and concern, and the staff of the Assisted Living for their kindness and providing such a wonderful residence.
A Celebration of Life will take place in May, which will be announced at a later date. A private family burial will also take place in the spring.
Flowers are gratefully declined. If so desired, donations may be made to the Manitoba Agricultural Museum (comment: MacKinnon Law Office), Box 10, Austin, MB R0H 0C0, or the MacGregor Health Centre-Personal Care Home, 87 Grafton St., MacGregor, MB R0H 0R0, or to a charity of your choice.

So sorry to hear of Beverley’s passing. My father, Dr. W. B. MacKinnon thought a great deal of his Uncles and we share a great heritage with J. P. MacKinnon and his family. I wish Terry and family well at this most difficult of times. - Posted by: John MacKinnon (Relation) on: Feb 09, 2020
