It is with much sadness we announce the passing of Joan Gravett on Monday, February 3, 2020, in Winnipeg, at the age of 94.
Joan is lovingly remembered by her husband of 68 years, Peter, and children, Paul (Mark) and Julene. She was predeceased by her son Keith.
Born in London, England, Joan immigrated to Canada in 1954, joining her husband who had gone ahead to establish their home in a new country.
Joan was an avid gardener and the results of her hard work were always resplendent with colour. She loved music and she spent her evenings "travelling the world" as she listened to opera performances, concerts and music competitions.
In keeping with Joan's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service.
The family thanks the wonderful doctors and nurses at Women's Hospital, who showed remarkable compassion and caring.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba at Winnipeg's Health Sciences Centre.
