DAVE (DAVID) M. BORTON

It is with much sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Dave (David) M. Borton of Langley, BC, on Sunday, January 26, 2020. Dave was 74 years old.
Predeceased by his parents, Fred and Kathleen; stepmother Evelyn Borton; and sister Joan Borton. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Doreen (nee Clark); son Brent; and all his family and friends in British Columbia and Manitoba.
Born May 2, 1945, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, it was there he met his love, Doreen Clark. They married in 1967 and soon moved to Langley, BC, where Dave began a successful career with the Overwaitea Food Group. 1974 brought the birth of their son Brent. Dave and Doreen enjoyed a beautiful life together, spanning 52 years of marriage.
Dave could often be found on the golf course with his regular buddies in BC or Arizona. Dave loved spending time with friends and family and will be fondly remembered for his laughter, genuine smile and zest for life.
At Dave's request, there will be no funeral service. Dave will be deeply missed by all.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • We were in the same class and walked to Miles Mac together every day. Met Dave again at his sister Joan's celebration of life not so long ago. Condolences to his family. - Posted by: Ernie Babynec (An old friend) on: Feb 08, 2020

  • Hi Doreen & Family - Faye and I are here in Palm Springs and were deeply saddened to read of the passing of Dave. I remember fondly our days growing up together in East Kildonan; going to school and playing sports together. A few years now have passed when we got together a couple of times down here; once with the Duncan's for lunch and then the four of us later that year for cocktails. You both then started going to Arizona and so we haven't been in touch since then. We wanted you to know you are in our daily thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Ken & Faye Mitchell - Posted by: Ken & Faye Mitchell (Friends From Winnipeg) on: Feb 08, 2020
