To Darcy, Davis and Vanessa, please accept my condolences in the passing of Morris. It has been many years now since I first met Morris and Darcy at our favorite coffee shop on Nairn, Country Style. Sitting around with our ring of coffee friends, Al, Dave, Neil, Dennis, Leo, Verna, Rose, Wilbur, and a couple of a dozen more. Talking with "Sandblaster" about what happened at Carlsen's today. Later on, Morris would tell us of his adventures driving doubles with his Swamper to Toronto and Montreal. Morris expanded on his story telling about his trips to New York City, Los Angeles, Texas, Florida, etc. and the people he met along the way. When he was back home, we would plan a Winter ice fishing trip up to Gypsumville. Driving out at 430 in the morning, punching holes through the ice until it looked like swiss cheese, looking for the elusive Walleyes, coming home in the dark of night with a full catch in the back of the Pathfinder. Morris's favorite period of time was when he finally had his little fishing buddy, his Grandson, Tyler beside him out at the Dam and he could pass on to him all the things he knew about fishing. Morris missed his Dad, and kept his memory alive each day he drove the old blue truck, it never failed him. Many people asked, you want to sell that old truck?, Morris would just smile and say, No, it's just like an old pair of shoes, just getting worn in. I, for one will miss Morris and those double-doubles that we used to sit in the Shop and drink, talk about fishing, friends and family until his phone would ring, oh, oh, its the boss, got to go now. I still cherish the old Red-neck Fish Finder hanging on my wall that he brought me back from Idaho and the smile on his face each time he mentioned it. That's a memory, Morris! Thanks, Buddy.... Catch the Big One. - Posted by: Edward Skilnick (good friend) on: Feb 15, 2020

Wow. Found out today of Morris's passing. So, so sorry to hear that. Our condolences go out to the family. I grew up and played with Morris those early years in Sandilands and always enjoyed his company. After high school everyone went their own ways and unfortunately I lost touch with Morris. I'll never forget you Morris. Jerry Monastyrski - Posted by: Jerry Monastyrski (50's and 60's village friend and neighbour ) on: Feb 14, 2020
