LILLIANNE JEANETTE SAMULAITIS
(The Energizer Bunny)
December 9, 1944 - February 4, 2020

Our hearts are broken as I announce the passing of my wife, of 55 years, after a sudden and brief illness.
Lillianne was a mother, mother-in-law, aunt and friend to many. Her presence will be forever missed by all the people she touched.
Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held in spring / summer of 2020.

Condolences & Memories (14 entries)

  • To Ernie, Jason and family. You folks are in my thoughts and prayers. It felt like the wind was knocked right out of me upon hearing the news about Liliianne. She was a special lady and I loved working with her. The world is a lesser place with her loss. Small, feisty, warm, generous, hard working... just a small sampling of adjectives describing this special person. Take care of yourselves. Lillianne will be missed by all who knew her. - Posted by: Terry Salt (friend and coworker) on: Feb 13, 2020

  • Ernie and family...I am so sorry to hear of Lillian's passing. She was a hard working, beautiful, generous, loving person who possessed a wicked sense of humor and always loved a joke. She will truly be missed by all who knew her. - Posted by: Bob Acheson (Family friend) on: Feb 11, 2020

  • Ernie and family members, My condolences over your loss. Over 40 years have passed but I still remember Lillian's generosity during a home visit. Norman Malayney - Posted by: norman malayney (friend) on: Feb 11, 2020

  • Jason & Family - So sorry to hear of your mother's passing. When I started in the division Lillian was already a casual cleaner and she was rare in the fact that she would always help the new cleaners when most refused to. As long as you worked hard and tried, she was your buddy. You couldn't ask for a better person to learn from. Best cleaner I ever worked with hands down. I always joked with her that she was too good for all of us! Lill's famous bag of candies would come out of her purse, over lunch or a coffee break, and she would tell us stories of her husband and two boys who she was immensely proud of. When I got a full time position, our paths didn't cross much anymore. But I would always see her at the summer work BBQ or Christmas lunches, where I would get a hug and she'd want to know how my life was! She was a sweetheart, who I will always smile of when I think of her. She will be missed by all who knew her at Pembina Trails School Division. Sincere Condolences, Brian. - Posted by: Brian Miller (Coworker) on: Feb 10, 2020

  • Ernie, Jason and Colleen, Jordon, You all know how this broke our Heart. We grew up together since we were 10. Have gone through a lot when we all were kids and kept up our friendship through adult life with much fun and memories of good times we had in both our homes together. Though we now lived in different provinces, we still kept in touch. We will miss her dearly, but her soul will live with us forever till we all meet again. • Ernie, Jordon, Jason (Colleen) you are in our thoughts during this difficult time. The lake will never be the same without Lil. We will never forget her. We will always remember her puttering around in her gardens and receiving her knowledgable "green thumb" advice, as well as enjoying our lake happy hours with her. Our dog, Jaxin, will also miss Lil giving her bacon treats every weekend. With heartfelt sympathy, Chris & Tim - Posted by: Chris & Tim* (friend) on: Feb 08, 2020
