March 24, 1953 - February 4, 2020

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Ada Olsen, on February 4, 2020, with family by her side.
She was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Joan Olsen. She is survived by her partner Rick Ahronson; her children, Jennifer Neufeld, John Lemke, Mandy Gravador (Joel); her beloved grandchildren, Miles, Brennen, Jackson, Chayse, Jayden, Maddox and Delaynie; her brothers, David Olsen, Eric Olsen (Suzan) and Paul Olsen (Cheryl).
Our mom will be missed for her love and dedication to her family; her kindness and willingness to go above and beyond to help anyone in need, and her hard work and determination to tackle any renovation. She was the most giving and selfless person. She was a second mother to many people near and far. She will be greatly missed.
Thank you to the wonderful team of doctors and nurses at the St. Boniface Hospital.
In keeping with our mother's wishes, there will be no service.

Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • It is with great sadness, that I just learned of Ada's passing. I can only wish to have a fraction of her ability to take "things in stride". Ada was such a grounded person. A person who truly appreciated her family, and saw the good in each and everyone of them. My heartfelt condolences to the entire family. - Posted by: Tracy Szumlak (Friend) on: Dec 02, 2021

  • I liked you Ada. I respected your many abilities. Your building skills were awesome to me. The times you offered me advice gave me perspective I would not have realized on my own. I admired the way you cared for Rick and for your children. I savoured the times when you would share your cooking or even better your baking with me. I liked you Ada. Good journey. Neil. - Posted by: Neil Grafton (Friend) on: Feb 08, 2020

  • What a beautiful tribute to your mother, grandmother and partner. Ada was everything and more. Her kindness and friendship as an immediate neighbor to my sister was outstanding. Even in the worst of her illness she called me to give some motherly advice from her hospital bed. She was a very wise and capable woman. Ada will be missed by many friends and of course her devoted family. - Posted by: Joy Buettner (friend) on: Feb 08, 2020
