ROELINA WILHEMINA AGATHA
BASTIAANS
April 4, 1948 - January 28, 2020
She leaves to mourn her uncle Cor (Lois) Godri; her nephews, Neale and Corey Bastiaans; sister-in-law Diane Bastiaans and many cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, Agnes and Nelis and brother Kees.
Born in the Netherlands, she moved to Canada in 1960. She attended Tec Voc High School where she joined the band, playing the clarinet. She worked for years at Sears as well as K-Mart and Woolco. Everywhere she worked, she greeted everyone with her warm smile. She enjoyed camping in St Malo, later at Gimli, or travelling across western North America with Kees and family. Great memories were created.
She loved to knit and crotchet, most of which she donated to charity. Lynn struggled for years with her diabetes. She entered Health Sciences Centre the beginning of October 2019 and endured different side effects of diabetes all winter. She fought the good fight, but lost the battle. Lynn is now at rest with Mom, Dad and Kees.
Special thanks to all her caregivers from home care and all the medical caregivers at Health Sciences Centre. Also thanks to her special loving friends, Bill and June Cooper.
Cremation has taken place. Her final resting place will be with her parents.

I have known Lynn since I was 6 and she was 12 as her parents and mine became friends shortly after they immigrated here from the Netherlands. Lynn was a close friend of my mother’s most of her life and we all loved her pragmatic ways and sense of humour. When I married she welcomed Mary-Anne as she did all her new friends. There were many good times with Lynn over the many years we knew her. The world will miss her gentle spirt. Rest In Peace Lynn, you’re all together again. - Posted by: Garry Eekhoudt & wife Mary-Anne McGavock (Friends) on: Feb 15, 2020
