Condolences & Memories (9 entries)

  • My sincere condolences to Joanne, Thor and Kim. It has been many years since my figure skating days but I remember Rudy’s big smile for everyone, even a kid from way up north. Rudy had a special way of making you feel like you were part of the family, for me the figure skating family. He passed this gift onto his family. Although I have not seen he family for years you have all been stored in a special place of my heart. Thinking of you all during this time. - Posted by: Shannon Harris (Figure Skating friend) on: Feb 20, 2020

  • We met Rudy over 40 years ago cutting trees down on a lot at Hillside Beach which later became their cottage. Rudy was always very friendly and willing to help in anyway he could. • My condolences to Rudy's family. I only met him a few times through his son Thor and daughter-in-law Trish, but he was extremely pleasant and generous. His closeness to his family was clearly evident and I'm sure he will be truly missed. - Posted by: Keith St Lawrence (Friend) on: Feb 16, 2020

  • Rudy will be missed by many of us. I am a better person, because he included me in his life. He is probably the most generous person I've had the honour of knowing. Many of us could learn by following his example. He made the world a better place and he will not be forgotten. - Posted by: Vic Pereira (Friend) on: Feb 15, 2020
