DAVID HILDERMAN
August 27, 1926 - February 8, 2020

It is with heartfelt sorrow that the family announces the peaceful passing of David Hilderman on February 8, 2020.
He was predeceased by his granddaughter Kirsten Hilderman. Dave will be lovingly remembered by his wife Jennie, his daughter Colleen (Steven) Galutia, his sons, David Hilderman and Rob (Diane) Hilderman; grandchildren, James Hilderman, Christian Galutia, Jennica (Jack) Hilderman, Brooke Hilderman, Jordan Galutia and Cole Hilderman; his brother Edward Hilderman, his niece Erin Hilderman, nephew Doug Hilderman, niece Darcy McGill and their families all of which were very dear to him.
Dave was a devoted and caring father who loved his family dearly and always put them first and foremost. He was employed by Transport Canada at the Winnipeg International Airport for many years. Following this he enjoyed his retirement to the fullest with family, friends and his beloved cat, Marley, as well as golfing and building model airplanes. He was a lifelong member of the Henderson Highway Seventh-day Adventist Church. Dave was loved by all who knew him.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the many wonderful staff members at the Grace Hospital who were so caring and kind to Dave.
A private funeral and interment will be held. If friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of their choice.

"We love you Dad, we will miss you everyday and are thankful for all the love you gave us."

  • So sorry for the loss of our friend, David. Lorraine and I remember Dave and his family very well. We attended the Henderson Hwy church together for many years. Jenny we have many fond memories of you and your family during our years in Winnipeg. We have lived in Seattle for 11 years, and now in Portland for just over 31 years and we still consider Winnipeg our home. May God bless you and your family during this difficult time.
