GERTRUDE ANNE MELANSON
September 17, 1934 - February 17, 2020
Gert is survived by her daughters, Lynn Kaebe, Marie Welsh, Jo-Anne (Jerry) Anderson, Cathy (Randy) Koop and Donna (Johny) Kehler; her sons, Michael and Robert; as well as 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Ernest (Ernie); her parents, John and Anne; her sister Christena; her brother Walter; grandson-in-law Brad, son-in-law Ken, and her great-grandson Kyan.
Gert retired in 1993 from the Bank of Montreal with more than 30 years of service. She then obtained her Class 1A license and joined Ernie driving for Big Freight Systems, retiring from there in 2000.
Cremation has taken place. No formal service will be held. A private interment will take place at St. Boniface Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be forwarded to the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital or a charity of one's choice.
Rest in Peace Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma as you join your husband, Ernie.
