ELSIE KRUK
(ANTONATION)
April 13, 1930 - February 20, 2020

After a brief illness with cancer, Elsie passed away peacefully with family by her side.
She was predeceased by her husband Harry; and is survived by her daughters, Linda (Paul) Bailes and Joanne (Paul) Barré; grandchildren, Joanna, Matthew, Jonathan, Hannah and Stefan; sisters, Sylvia (Harry) Melnyk, Sonia (Mervin) Michalyshen; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Elsie was born in Oakburn, MB, attended Business College in Brandon and worked as a secretary in the public sector. She was an active member of St. Nicholas Church and served for two terms as president of the Ukrainian Catholic Women's League. Elsie put her family first and was most proud of her grandchildren. Her creativity was expressed through her love of gardening and flower arranging and received many horticultural awards. This passion continued through her flower business until the age of 80.
Elsie's relationships were built from her warm and endearing nature; she will be remembered for her generosity and kindness towards others.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Nadine Lecuyer for her exceptional care of Mom throughout the years. We'd also like to thank her home care workers for allowing Elsie to maintain her independence in her lovely home.
Divine Liturgy will be celebrated Thursday, February 27, 2020, 11:00 a.m., at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Avenue, Winipeg, MB.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Elsie's name may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
