VERONIKA PAJIC

It is with immense sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Veronika Pajic on Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at her home in Winnipeg.
Veronika will be greatly mourned and missed by her husband of 54 years, Risto; her children, Mike (Mindy), Nick (Jodi), Kathy (Mike), Melanie; her 11 grandchildren, Hannah, Josh, Mollie, Kaden, Jesse, Tyson, Sydney, Madeline, Grace, Jasper, Shane; and her brother, Rudy.
She was predeceased by her parents, Josip and Milka Benko; her sisters, Anica, Ljubica, Marica; and her son, John.
Veronika was born in Croatia in 1939, and came to Canada in 1958 to start a new life. She married Risto in 1965, and they soon started a family which she was incredibly devoted to. After the kids had grown, she went back to work at KUB Bakery in Transcona, where she made many new friends.
Mom's love of cooking was surpassed only by her love of feeding anyone who entered her kitchen. She enjoyed spending time in her garden, and was also involved with the Serbian Church and Folklorama for many years.
Please join us in saying farewell to our dear mother at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., on Thursday, February 27, 2020, at 10:00 a.m.
