Christine will be profoundly missed by her daughter Pam (Marty), grandson Austin, parents, Jim and Joan, brothers, Dennis (Barb), Terry (Donna), extended family, and many, many friends that are as close as family.
Christine loved spending time with family, especially her grandson who meant the world to her. She loved travelling, going to watch live music and dinners with friends, and spending time at Lake of the Woods.
Thank you to the many doctors, nurses and support staff that cared for Christine throughout this awful journey.

I met Christine at permits when I first moved to Winnipeg and we became close friends. We shared a lot of laughs, she was a very proud and beautiful woman. I was lucky enough to meet her family and become friends with them also. I think of Christine and her beautiful smile and always one to put in the work needed to complete her goals. We shared a lot but the biggest thing I wish I would have shared was more time. When you meet a woman like this you could spend a lifetime with her and still want more. Rest In Peace Christine - Posted by: Chuck Lewis (Friend) on: Feb 27, 2020

As we get older it’s hard to make new friends. I met Christine at the bus stop, we caught the bus everyday at the same stop and often saw each other in the way home too. One day we started talking and the rest is history! We became great friends and I’m lucky to have called her my friend. My deepest condolences to Pam and all her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by me and a lot of other friends. Rest In Peace my dear friend. The fight is over! Love you tons - Posted by: Kay (Friend) on: Feb 26, 2020

Christine and I met only about three years ago but we became friends and truly enjoyed each other's company. I admired her courage and upbeat spirit despite the cancer, a true fighter she was. I will miss her very much and my condolences to all who knew and loved her♥️ - Posted by: Kathy Hamm (Friend) on: Feb 26, 2020

Christine was a great friend of mine . We have been friends for 35 years . We had many bar days back in the day . But in years to follow we'd catch up over lunch or dinner. She was such a strong girl ,she never complained once during her long battle . I'm glad we got to catch up last week over a donut and capacinno from Timm's ,she really enjoyed that donut and I enjoyed having that time to hug her and tell her how important she was in my life. Rest in peace my friend ❤ - Posted by: Julie Persaud (Friends ) on: Feb 26, 2020

To Christine's devastated Family, My deepest heartfelt condolences to you all. Christine and I were friends, part of a large close knit group of friends who did a lot of things together (beginnig 1997 and forward), Bomber games, parties, BBQ's and we loved to dance the night away. Christine and I met through our mutual dear friend, Darryl Rebeiro who himself passed in 1999, and Darryl absolutely adored her. Christine's zest for life was evident by the bright smile always on her face. I was born one day before she was (in 1966). How sad she passed on her fifty eighth birthday. Gone too soon. My sincere sympathies to you all for your painful loss. I'm quite shocked by her passing. May she R.I.P. Sincerely, Jill Greenwood, Friend from way back. - Posted by: Jill Greenwood (Friend from way back) on: Feb 25, 2020

You have truly blessed us all. - Posted by: Cheryl Kisil (Friend) on: Feb 25, 2020

Joan and Jim - what a shock when I read the Free Press obit's on line while here in Mesa. I'm so sorry for your loss.
