Lynn, Paul, Wayne Jr, & families, So sorry to hear of your father, grandfather's passing. Maurice was just a great neighbor. A very kind gentle soul. My prayers and thoughts are with my dearest friend Lynn and her family as she grieves the loss of her father. Lynn I remember your father as a kind and decent man. He loved your mother Iris and you and your brother dearly. I also remember he treated people with respect. He was always smiling and had kind stories about how fair our mother was when you and your family lived in the suite upstairs. His life of kindness and respect has earned him a place in heaven. Take care and may your grief be calmed by warmest memories of your father. - Posted by: Natalie Hemingway (Family friend) on: Feb 29, 2020

Lynn, Paul and family, Please accept our sincere sympathies for you Lynn, the recent loss of your dad and Paul, your grandpa, respectively. I had the fortune of spending a lot of time in my younger years with ‘Uncle Mo & Auntie I’ where laughs were plenty and the memories of their hospitality still remain warm in our hearts. Toasted homemade bread bologna sandwiches, a glass of Pepsi and homemade pickles were a few of my favourites as our families visited, the good ole’ north end days. As a teenager, I remember spending some of my best Friday nights, watching Dynasty & Knots Landing, enjoying one of Uncle Mo’s famous rum & Pepsi’s while chuckling at how much of the show he missed while having to keep stoking the stove in their living room. Needless to say, it was quite ‘toasty’. Fast forward, married, Emil & I also had many opportunities to share in so much fun with Uncle Mo & Auntie I. Countless times, we left with sore stomachs from laughter as Uncle Mo was ‘performing’. Just hilarious. We will treasure the memories, as will all of you.
