BLANDINE MARIE D'ANGIOLO
Peacefully on Sunday, February 23, 2020, Blandine Marie D'Angiolo of Winnipeg, Manitoba, passed away at the age of 86 years at the Grace Hospital.
Blandine was born January 12, 1934, in St. Lupicin, Manitoba. Her parents immigrated from France in the early 1900s, and homesteaded around the St. Lupicin area to begin raising a family. Coming from a large farming family, she helped out on the family farm until she moved to Winnipeg in her early 20s. There she met Carlo D'Angiolo, and they were married in 1956 in St. Lupicin, Manitoba.
She demonstrated her devotion to the Catholic church by being a member of St. John XXIII parish.
She worked for Superlite, Woolco, Woolworths, and finally Kmart, while at the same time being a homemaker and raising three sons.
Blandine enjoyed being outdoors, and to constantly be busy around the house; she always found things to do, and when summer came she maintained the yard and tended a garden. She enjoyed going camping with her family when her sons were young.
She enjoyed going for coffee with the Kmart girls, going out to the country where she came from to visit friends and family, and golfing, especially in her latter years with her daughter-in-law. When her son and daughter-in-law bought a cabin in Kenora, Ontario, she helped out in any way she could, and enjoyed being on the dock or in a boat fishing.
Blandine leaves behind her sons, Romeo, Victor, and Vincent (Debbie) D'Angiolo; her brothers-in-law, Medard Rossier, and Gianni Favaro; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Carlo D'Angiolo, in 2007; her parents, Azarie and Marie (née Rousset); seven sisters, Gertrude Favaro, Genevieve Rossier, Berthe Baron, Augustine, Jeannette, Léa, and Anna; and by seven brothers, Cyprien, Marcel, Martial, Jean-Baptiste, Joseph, Francois, and Bart.
Special thanks goes out to family and friends, for their love and support during this time.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made out to CancerCare Manitoba, or the Alzheimer Society, in honour of Blandine's husband, Carlo D'Angiolo.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, at 11:00 a.m., in St. John XXIII Roman Catholic Church, 3390 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg. For those who wish, viewing will be held prior to Mass. Interment will follow in Assumption Roman Catholic Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue, followed by a reception in Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue.

Deepest Sympathy to Vincent, Debbie, Victor & Romeo. Blandine was one of my supervisors at K-Mart. She was a little intimidating at first but once you got to know her she was a sweetheart. Always telling me stories about her family & joking around. Even in later years we would bump into each other & catch up on assorted events. We probably spent more time standing around in stores talking than we did shopping in them. I’m sure you will miss her deeply. May her memory be eternal. - Posted by: Darcy (Former co-worker) on: Mar 04, 2020

My deepest condolences goes out to Vincent, Debbie, Victor and Romeo. We had so many good times and tons of laughs together. I'll remember aunt Blandine in many positive ways, her great sense of humor, her positive attitude, her feisty personality, her natural knack for making everyone around her comfortable. She will forever be in our thoughts, greatly missed but never forgotten. RIP dearest aunt Love Madeleine & Karl - Posted by: Madeleine & Karl Hoffmann (Niece) on: Feb 29, 2020
