ARTHUR WILLIAM HOSSACK
It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Arthur William Hossack on February 27, 2020, at the age of 77.
Left to mourn his loss are his children, Brenda Younger (Wayne) and Kurt Hossack; grandchildren, Cole and Kate; brother Ken (Caroline); sisters-in-law Judy and Debbie Hossack; brother-in-law Werner (Linda) Martens; sister-in-law Christa (Len) Armstrong; brother-in-law Rick (Cathy) Martens; as well as many nieces; nephews; and longtime friends.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Monika Hossack; Arthur Hossack (Dad); Elsie Hossack (Mom); Lynn and Ron (brothers); and in-laws, Ernie and Wally Martens.
Born in 1942, he grew up in St. James. He graduated from St. James Collegiate and, after working a few jobs, settled in with Transport Canada as a firefighter at the airport for 35 years.
He met the love of his life, Monika, and they were married shortly after in August, 1970. They enjoyed 40 years of travelling, camping and visiting with friends and family all over Canada.
Art was happiest when he was barbequing, playing cards with his friends, playing with his budgies or enjoying a Sunday dinner with family. He was always elated to be surrounded by the people he loved.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 6, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. at Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street, Winnipeg, MB.
A special thank you to the staff at Concordia Hospital for the loving care they gave him for the past five weeks.
In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation to the charity of your choice. Art had been supporting Operation Smile Canada in the last few months.

I worked with Art for many years. He was one of the most social people I ever knew. After retirement he attended all the retiree functions and always had stories to share. We will definitely miss him. Eric Anderson - Posted by: Eric Anderson (Friend) on: Mar 09, 2020

Art was our next door neighbour. And we shared a driveway. They were always there for us. We shared a lot of laughs and a lot of tears. And a lot of beers. Rest In Peace Art. And say hi to Moe. ❤️ Bonnie and Roy. - Posted by: Bonnie and Roy (Friend) on: Mar 04, 2020
