FRANCES MARIE CHUMOLA
passing on Wednesday, February 26, 2020, at the age of 82 years.
Frances will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Debbie (Jim), sons, Brian (Kim) and Jerry; grandchildren, Brianne (Roger), Riley (Karlie), Kiahna (Riley), Brennan (Jodie), and Joshua (Natalie). She is also
survived by her brother Gerry, sisters,
Geraldine and Doreen, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Frances was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Pearl; siblings, Raymond, John, Charlotte, Edward and Norbert; husband
Ernie; sons, Dennis and Timothy.
Mom was born and raised in Polonia,
Manitoba, part of a loving, hard-working
family. Her childhood sweetheart was Ernie, who wooed her with bike rides and bubble gum. They were married for 54 years!
Our mom's life was lived giving and
supporting others; her husband, children, grandchildren, relatives, friends and her community. She expressed unconditional love for her family through her words and actions. She was always there for each of us and we knew it. Mom liked to be active! She
constantly found things to do around the house! This included cooking and baking her family's favourites. In the summer, she loved to be outside in her yard, going for walks or bike rides and visiting friends for coffee. Mom enjoyed curling, bowling and golfing for many years. Dad and mom liked to socialize and we often reminisced about the "good old days." Mom attended many family sporting events, even if she couldn't actually watch them and had to pace around! Mom was so looking forward to the birth of her first
great-grandchild!
Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at 10:30 a.m., at St. Charles Parish, 320 St. Charles Street, in Winnipeg. Following the mass, please join us for
refreshments at the Starbuck Community Hall.
A private family interment will take place at a later date.
Special thanks to the staff at the Charleswood Care Home. Many of you went above and beyond to chat and joke around with mom and to make her feel like she
mattered. For this, we are grateful.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
Wojcik's Funeral Chapel in care of
arrangements.
"Until we meet again mom, dance with dad!
We will love and miss you always."

Our condolences to you all. Fran was a beautiful person and the most wonderful neighbour we could ever have had. We loved and adored her. This memory always makes me smile though! Running my day home with Jeff, Nikki, Tia, Jeremy & Caitlyn next door to your parents was the best. The kids would be outside and Fran would sneak, yes sneak, trying to make sure I wasn’t watching so I wouldn’t give her heck for spoiling the kids. She’d have her pockets full of treats with her finger to her lips so they wouldn’t get my attention. I saw her everytime though! Lol. They would go running to her with hugs and tons of love, and my favourite was Nikki with her lisp saying “I love you Flan”. I still look out my window expecting to see both of them, Fran and Ernie, the best, most wonderful people we’ve had the pleasure of knowing and loving. - Posted by: Paulette & Elvis Romanuk (Neighbour ) on: Mar 03, 2020

Debbie and family, I am so sorry for your loss . My mother Maria, and Frances often shared conversations. Frances made it a better place at the care home. I liked chatting with her and shared a few laughs. She was always positive, and saw the bright side and never complained about anything. Frances it was a pleasure to get to know you, may you rest in peace. - Posted by: Philomena Morris (my mother was a friend of Frances at St Charles care home ) on: Mar 03, 2020
