SCOTT NEWSOM

"And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true and honourable and right, and pure, and lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise." Phil 4:8.
In response to this Bible verse, Scott wrote in February 2012: "What is beautiful? . . . sunsets across lakes . . . mountains through clouds . . . sheet lightning on pitch-black nights . . .
blankets of stars, too many to count . . .
people holding hands for the first time and the last time . . . when you know you can make a fool of yourself and no one will care . . . people singing together . . . complete and
total forgiveness . . . sacrificial love . . . when it turns out that things aren't so awkward after all."
Another favourite verse of Scott's: "He heals the broken-hearted and bandages up their wounds. He counts the stars and calls them by name." Psalm 147:3,4.
Scott, we who know you love you and miss you. Mum, Dad, Paul, Dave, Judith, Cora and new nephew Edmund look forward to your hugs in Heaven.
