DOUGLAS JOHN GIESBRECHT
Doug was born on July 30, 1961 in Winnipeg, MB. He is survived by his daughter Abby; son Ryan; their mother Tonya; his mother Agnus; sister Debra; brother Ron all of Winnipeg; Aunt Sharon and Uncle Norm of Portage la Prairie, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and extended family.
He was predeceased by his father Klaas "Nick"; grandparents, John and Katherine Giesbrecht, and James and Dorothy Hall.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020, at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Doug may be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 1160-675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
A tree will be planted and cared for by
McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel.

Doug and I grew up across the street from one another in Charleswood and went to the same schools. Both our families knew each other as well. We would walk to school together, bike ride and play with all the other kids in the neighborhood. I have so many fond memories of Doug!! I'm so sorry for your loss!! He was a great guy.
