SHIRLEY ANNE SMITH
She was predeceased by her parents, Pearl and Donald Smith; her sisters, Evelyn, Della, Martina and Debbie and her brother Pancho. She leaves to mourn her children, Pamela (Cameron), Stephen (Shyanne) and William a.k.a Bill (Jody); her grandchildren, Pearl, Tanessa, Kamryn, Jodi, Hayden, Stephen, Kaleb, Damien and Kaelyn; her brothers, Melvin (Yvonne), Richard and Russell; as well as numerous family and friends that she held dearly to her heart. Especially her puzzle pals, Bingo crew and Elders group.
Shirley loved Hollow Water, that was her home and she never wanted to leave. She spent a lot of years with Frontier School Division in all different areas of the school, such as subbing, janitor and mentoring. Shirley loved to be outside, whether it was sitting on her deck, cleaning up her yard or cutting her grass which she did consistently.
Shirley was a very strong willed, independent woman. She put on a hard exterior, but on the inside she was full of laughter, jokes and love. She loved her children and grandchildren very much and wanted them to achieve great things. Shirley will be truly and forever missed by all the hearts she touched. Fly high Strong Hearted Buffalo Woman.
Wake service is being held at the Hollow Water band hall from Thursday, March 5, 2020, to Sunday, March 8, 2020. Funeral service will be held at the Hollow Water band hall and burial at the Anglican Cemetery on March 9, 2020, at 2:00 p.m.
Thank you for everyone's support and condolences and a special thank you to Hollow Water Chief and Council and Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre Inc. with their generous donation.
