RAMON CAETANO VALDEHUESA NERI

Loving husband of the late Rella Lailya (Smith) Neri, late of Chilliwack, British Columbia, formerly of Davao, Philippines; Lynn Lake, Manitoba; Pickle Lake, Ontario; Esquimalt, Salmo, and Silver Creek, British Columbia, died January 28, 2020, in Chilliwack, British Columbia, at 83 years old. Ramon was born in Tagoloan, Mindinao, and raised in Davao, Mindinao. He had lived in the Upper Fraser Valley for 34 years.
A former metallurgist, Ramon loved his family and friends. Cheerfulness and independence permeated his life. He enjoyed spending his time tinkering with his projects and his Airstream trailer, debating ideas, repairing stuff and camping. Ramon also enjoyed flying kites, cooking, bowling, reading and music.
A memorial celebration will be held in Chilliwack at the Best Western Hotels' Sure Stay Rainbow Country Inn. Refer to http://note.jesseneri.ca/ for current details. McLean's Funeral Services cremated his remains and the family will place a memorial marker at Chilliwack Cemeteries.
Ramon is survived by his three children, Jessé, Leila, Ramón; grandchildren, Maximus, Xavier and Alyssa, and siblings-in-law, Helen, Murray, Roland, Dana and Vicenta.
The family would like to thank the care teams at Cascade Manor, Chilliwack Hospital and Cascade Hospice for patiently caring for Ramon.
