WENDY KOWAL
(nee SUTHERLAND)
Wendy was born in Winnipeg on October 21, 1952. She spent many hours watching curling and Coronation Street. She was straight forward and to the point, some might even say feisty.
Left to mourn her passing is her partner Bill Neill; son Darcy Kowal (Monique) and grandson Holden; sisters, Linda Harrison (Don), Laurie Suppes (Scott); brothers, Peter Pingatore (Brenda), Bob Crichton (Tanya); and numerous family and friends. Wendy was predeceased by her parents, Jim and Mary Sutherland.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

I had some of the best moments with her. After all, I always went to visit her every time I come to Winnipeg. When I walked in, her partner’s dog, Cookie, would run and bark happily at me. Since I’m from the north, my dad has her ashes. - Posted by: Holden S. Kowal (Grandson) on: Apr 18, 2020

My Aunt had an incredible sense of humour and one of the most diabolical laughs, it will be missed. I want to extend my love, condolences, and deepest sympathy to Darcy, Monique , Holden during this time, To Bill Neill for always being there for her, I am glad she got to spend all those years with you Bill. I hold fond memories of her at the lake, one place she dearly loved, I will cherish the moments we spent there in my heart. You left one last wish on my wall Aunty...... I just might do it, but only for you! My hear felt condolences to all family grieving during this time. I will always remember her as my strong and smart aunt. She was straight to the point but to myself I saw her honesty as truth and kindness, and thoughtful. I treasure the times and memories I have of her and always will. It was true love to see Darcy & Monique care for her, the joy Holden brought to her life, and the very loving way Bill cared for her. It kept our minds at ease and we appreciate all everyone could do for her, the things I often wished I could be closer to help with. I will always miss her, but I will always be grateful for the love and lessons she brought to my life. She is part of who I am, thank you aunty. - Posted by: Amber M Harrison (Niece) on: Mar 23, 2020
