August 17, 1930 - March 31, 2012
In memory of Mary, devoted wife,
wonderful Mom and Baba,
loving sister, aunt and caring friend.
In this strange time of social distancing, we are learning to live with the "new normal." After we lost you, Mom, we had to learn to live with a very different kind of distancing and a very sad new normal. At every family gathering, at every celebration, you are missed. We grieve in our own ways: sometimes we make dills or holupsti, or we bake – anything to keep an invisible tie to your once busy, loving hands and caring heart. There was a day, when you were still alive, when we baked the last delicious pie that you had made. How we savoured every last bite. We still savour things now, Mom. We savour the legacy you left in the form of your children and grandchildren. We savour the shared times on Highcliff and at family gatherings. We savour the memory of you, dancing with Dad, perfectly in step with each other. We miss you as we try to live the life lessons you taught us with your grace, beauty and unconditional love.
Vichnaya Pamyat.
May your memory be eternal.
Remembered always, the "Kohuch" kids and grandkids.
