CLINTON FRANCIS ROBERTSON
November 15, 1925 - March 14, 2020

Clinton passed away peacefully, exactly six years after his beloved wife, surrounded by family at Grace Hospital.
Born in Huntsville, Ontario, Clinton, a proud descendant of a United Empire Loyalist, was the youngest of the family and is predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Arthur, Lewis, Minnie, Ira and Elma; as well as his parents.
The family moved to Strathroy when he was five, where he grew up enjoying school; always fascinated with principles of physics such as Archimedes' screw and buoyancy, Pythagoras theorem and a favourite activity was going to the canal lift locks.
In 1955 he married Marie and they moved to Manitoba as missionaries, eventually settling in Winnipeg. Clinton had four boys, Wayne, Peter, Glen and Mark, which kept him busy during his free time while not working. Family road trips, time at the beach and canoeing are some of the fondly remembered activities. Later much time was spent finishing a cottage at Lake Wanipigow, where he was able to enjoy retired life with Marie.
Dad leaves behind Wayne and Leanne in Airdrie, Peter and Colleen in Winnipeg, Glen and Bobbie in Brandon, as well as grandchildren, Clinton, Robert, Neil, Kimberly, Alicia, Torrie, Rachel, Colleen and great-grandchildren, Julia, Laura, Zevon, Dagan, Kayden, Tahlia, Ayden, Olivia and Hudson. Sadly, Clinton's son Mark predeceased him following an accident in 1985.
Family will be privately celebrating Dad's, Granddad's, Great-Granddad's life in the near future.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Clinton sat at the same table as Mom at The Links. Mom always spoke so kindly of him and our family thanks him for being such a good friend to Mom. We had many opportunities to visit with Clinton and always enjoyed his conversations and sense of humour. He was a wonderful man and definitely made the world a better place. - Posted by: Leslie Cleven (Daughter of Olly Rogers from Assiniboine Links) on: Apr 05, 2020
