Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • My sister Bernadette Seymour (Bernice) was friends with Donna when they were children before I was born. They continued to be close friends until they were young adults. They both married and life took them separate ways. They were friends when I was born and Donna was like having another sister. I was about 10 when Donna married. My sister and I went to the wedding, Donna had went from a brunette to a blond for her wedding day 🙂. We have so many pictures of her and my sis. Unfortunately, my dearest sister passed away January 3rd, 2020. I decided that I would try and find Donna today. It is with a very heavy heart I found her obituary 😢. Please accept my most sincere condolences on her passing. I am so sad that I never had the chance to re-connect with her. One of the last times I had seen Donna was at her mother Helen's funeral. My sister and I visited Donna and Bill in the north end. - Posted by: Norah Seymour Warren (Friend - childhood) on: Sep 22, 2024

  • Bill, we are very sorry to hear of Donna's passing. We all have great memories of our Whispering Pines days. Our kids loved to go visit Donna and yourself, anytime of the day, as they were always welcomed and a camp fire on. Those were great times. Take care. Your friends, Tim & Denise. - Posted by: Tim & Denise (Friends) on: Apr 09, 2020

  • We've been out of touch somewhat since the days of Whispering Pines Campground where there was a lot of fun together. Memories of the huge Ronald McDonald head, Sergeant Bill and the Eisler shoe garden down the highway immediately come to mind. Our kids always appreciated the teasing and the times when spaghetti dinners were made especially for them. While sitting around one of many campfires, Donna had once mentioned to me that in her younger days when she was waitressing, she had actually served Janis Joplin. That would be very unique to only a handful of Winnipeggers. Anyway, sorry to hear about her passing. Bruce and Deanne - Posted by: Bruce and Deanne (friends) on: Mar 29, 2020

  • I would like to send my condolences on the loss of your loved one. Donna was such a caring person and will be deeply missed by all of you. Tyndall Park School was lucky to have her on staff. She was a friend to many. May she rest in peace. - Posted by: Sharon McGavock (Colleague from Tyndall Park School) on: Mar 28, 2020

  • Bill, I am so sorry to hear of Donna’s passing. When I think of you guys all that comes to mind is all the good times spent at the lake, sitting around a big beautiful bonfire with the music cranked having a few bubblies... even the odd dance. These times will forever be etched in my memory. Donna was such a generous loving lady. May she Rest In Peace. Please contact me when there is a service. - Posted by: Shelley Patterson (Friend ) on: Mar 28, 2020

  • Bill so very sorry to hear of DONNA’s passing ....just seems like yesterday we were all partying at West Hawk. After supper we would all grab our drinks and snacks and head over to the huge trailer and fun place Bill and Donna’s. Everyone sure could party then. We have lost a lot of friends since then. Rob bought a huge Jayco trailer. Sold it after a couple of yrs. There were no times like the good old times. You have so many wonderful memories of DONNA and May those memories help you through this difficult time. With love and friendship Carole, Shelley, and Rob Patterson - Posted by: Carole patterson (Friend) on: Mar 28, 2020
