MAURICE CLOUTIER

It is with deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Maurice Cloutier on Thursday, March 19, 2020, at the age of 75.
Maurice was predeceased by his long-time love, John Collins, five years ago and is survived by his ex-wife Marlowe and her daughter Lori.
Maurice was born in Winnipeg but lived in Vancouver for the majority of his life.
He was an artist, a traveller and a risk taker. Maurice was such fun to be around – playful with an unforgettable laugh. He was known for his pecan pies (made from scratch), his "Be Here Now" philosophy and for how much he loved Billie, his cat.
Maurice also enjoyed good food, wine, challenging crossword puzzles and being called "Uncle" by all of his nieces and nephews (first generation, great and great-great!). More recently, Maurice loved spending weekends on his friends' farm telling stories and sharing laughs around the fire.
He will be missed by his sisters, Jeannette and Lucy; his many nieces and nephews; and by his dear friends: Dan, Jennifer, Ray, Mairin, John and Lidia, to name a few.
Family and friends will gather to honour Maurice at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or to the Humane Society would be gratefully appreciated.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Hello Jeanette and Lucy, I would like to express my deepest and most heartfelt condolences to you both and all those who were close to your brother. Over the last couple of days, the announcement of your brothers passing has brought to mind when he and I would hang out in Dudley playground which existed between your house on Lorrete Ave and my residence on Dudley Ave. While we were there swinging on the swings, we spoke of all kinds of things in the now and what might happen in our futures and truly had no idea of the outcome that we know now. Your brother and I shortly went our separate way as many of us do when we are in our teen years. There are not many of the Cloutier family left and it’s with great sadness that my contacts with family have not been more plentiful. Take care and God Bless. - Posted by: Roland (Cousin ) on: Apr 05, 2020
