Condolences & Memories (15 entries)

  • Thank you Glen. Will continue to work on what you started and will make sure to make you proud! - Posted by: Thank you (CU) on: May 14, 2020

  • Glen was with Me-Dian Credit Union for a little over 2 ½ years however even in that short period of time he made a difference and accomplished many things. Glen’s focus was to reach out to the Northern communities and provide services for them. Glen put Me-Dian on the map by being the first Credit Union to integrate ASAPP into our banking system allowing people to open an account online along with many, more great firsts. Glen was very kindhearted, generous and will be missed by many. Our condolences and best wishes go out to his wife, family and Friends. - Posted by: Me-Dianc Credit Union (CU) on: May 14, 2020

  • I remember Glen so fondly as a charming, hard working Grade Three student. He loved to “chat” and always came to visit after he had moved on to the higher grades. First the visits were daily and after a few years they became weekly. I always wondered about him after the visits tapered off completely. The tributes from from his colleagues make me proud to have known him in his early years. Warm thoughts and prayers for his family. - Posted by: Lynne Dunford (Glen’s Grade Three teacher) on: May 06, 2020

We have made a donation to Darcy's Animal Rescue Centre. - Posted by: Credit Union Central of Manitoba (CUCM) (Colleagues) on: Apr 29, 2020

  • All of us on the ISACA Board send our condolences and best wishes to Glen's wife, family and friends. We are so sorry to hear of Glen's passing. Glen was on the Board of ISACA (Information Systems Audit and Control Association) in 2014-2015 and remained an active ISACA member. He was very well-liked, respected and will be missed by all who knew him. We have made a generous donation to Darcy's Animal Rescue Centre on behalf of Glen, his family and their three feline friends, Reba, Kenny and Richmond. “Cats choose us; we don’t own them.” —Kristin Cast (author, House of Night series) In Glen's case, they chose well. • Such a sudden loss - of an engaged community contributor. Our paths crossed on the CMHA Manitoba and Winnipeg Board where Glen was an active participant in the leadership of the Board as Vice Chair and Treasurer. I appreciated his thoughtful engagement in supporting mental health resources and supports in our community. Sending caring thoughts to his family and loved ones. May fond memories sustain you in the days ahead. - Posted by: Deb Radi (CMHA Manitoba and Winnipeg Board colleague) on: Apr 22, 2020

  • Aga, we have not met but I want to let you know that you are in my thoughts. I worked with Glen as co-Chair of the Finance Committee, Association of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) 2017-2018. My daily work life did not include reading financial statements. Glen was so patient, thoughtful and understanding - mentoring me in the language of accounting. His inclusive and relational approach to leadership will not be forgotten by anyone who has had the privilege to work with Glen in a volunteer (or other) capacity. I am so sorry for your loss and extend sympathy to you, and both of your extended families. Be well, Margaret Rauliuk MN, RN, NP Chair, Association of Registered Nurses of Manitoba; 2016-2018 - Posted by: Margaret Rauliuk (ARNM Board Colleague) on: Apr 08, 2020

  • I was Glen’s grade one teacher at Salisbury Morse Place. I have checked our class picture from 1988/89. There he is... top row in a striped tee-shirt. I remember Glen was a good student, well-behaved, conscientious and kind, with a good sense of humour. I also know that Glen had a very supportive family. One clear memory I have of Glen is when he was sitting in front of me listening to a story. He shifted his weight and ran over my injured toe. It released the blood under the nail which spurted all over. Glen cured my toe and from then on we called him Dr. Mazur. I am so sad to hear of Glen’s passing. It is such a tragedy. Please accept my sincere condolences to your family. He is so very young and will be greatly missed. - Posted by: Donna Fillingham (Grade One Teacher) on: Apr 07, 2020

  • You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Deepest sympathy, Joe and Pat Lesko - Posted by: Joe and Pat Lesko (Cousin ) on: Apr 02, 2020

  • Glen this came as a complete shock to Cory and I. In fact I still can’t comprehend this all. You were the most kind hearted, patient, HUGE hearted, patient person we know. No matter what you were going through in your life you still found the time to reach out and make sure I was okay. I appreciate all the time you took for me to vent to you. I know you will be so loved up on heaven, my sister is such a sweet angel she will welcome you with loving arms. I will miss your smile big guy. Until we meet again. - Posted by: Whitney (Employee) on: Apr 02, 2020

  • I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Glen's passing. You had such a gentle voice and eyes that smiled. I enjoyed many glasses of wine and laughs in your beautiful home when you hosted the ward Christmas parties. You were always a gracious host. Sleep well Glen. My condolences to your family - Posted by: Shawna (Friend) on: Mar 31, 2020

  • Glen was a wonderful friend with a big heart, especially for felines. He was always there when we had a banking question or just to say hi. I hope the family can find peace during this time. Ryan and I and our family will miss him. - Posted by: Melissa Bailes (Friends) on: Mar 31, 2020

  • I just learnt of this today March 31. My heart hurts for all of you! Life is so unfair! Glen was in his prime of life! With a wife , good job and a full life ahead of him! No child should pass before their parents! I have no words to make any of you feel better! They don’t even exist! But please know that I’m thinking of you all! Sending you all my love and hugs! When I think of Glen ..... I think of way back when he was little. ( as I didn’t really know him as an adult - other than when I learnt of how he had married the daughter on my co-worker. And the way I found out was by looking at their wedding photos - and nearly falling off my chair when I “knew the people in the photo” ( Glen and his parents) The time I babysat when Glen was of the age of when kids ask WHY? Glen would ask me why ( whatever it was) was it that way- I’d answer and explain. He’d then ask again Why? I’d explain again. His reply WHY? This would go on for 5 mins+ until I’d distract him to something else. Oh the irony of this story...... NOW WE ARE ASKING WHY?????? And we have no answers why someone so young is taken way too soon. Hugs to all. 😘😘😘😘 - Posted by: Brenda Harder ( Lachowich) (Past babysitter/ neighbour) on: Mar 31, 2020

  • Condolences to the entire family. - Posted by: Sylvia & Lloyd Mazur (Cousin) on: Mar 31, 2020
