MARGARET (PEGGY) LYNN LISOWAY
October 11, 1949 - March 27, 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear sister, Peggy. After a lengthy fight with a puzzling illness, Peggy lost her battle at the St. Boniface Hospital.
She was predeceased by her parents, Caroline (Carpenter) Lisoway, Michael Lisoway; and her sister-in-law, Donna Lisoway. Also waiting to greet her on the other side are her grandparents, aunts and uncles. She will be missed and lovingly mourned by her brothers, Kenny, David (Cheryl); and sisters, Linda (George) and Judy (Lloyd); numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. Her friends at her various day programs will miss her smiling face.
Peggy loved music, dancing, movies and flowers especially pink ones, but her family most of all. Peggy was never one to hide her feelings. She would say "I love you" and she said it often.
The family wishes to thank her house mothers over the years, for their care and support, especially Nora and Irish. The many social workers and support staff enhanced Peggy's life immensely, allowing her to live with independence and a purpose in life. Special thanks to Mia, Evalyne and Ripley from the Outreach Program at the Maitland B Steinkopf Residence. The family would also like to thank the doctors and staff from both the Seven Oaks and St. Boniface hospitals for the care of our dear sister. God bless you all.
Cremation has taken place. Due to the current health crisis, there will be no service at this time. A Celebration of Life and services will be held at a later date.
