MILDRED GRACE BRENT

Mildred Grace Brent passed away peacefully at St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon on March 26, 2020, at the age of 92, after a lengthy battle with heart disease. The family is grateful to Father Rheal Bussiere for administering Last Rites.
Mildred was born May 28, 1927, at Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Nicholas and Catrina Krawchuk. She grew up on a farm in Brokenhead, Manitoba and then moved to Winnipeg where she met her future husband, John. John and Mildred married on September 28, 1945 and were married for over 74 years. She loved spending time with family and some of her favourite times were spent at the family cabin on Wakaw Lake.
Mildred was a volunteer with St. John's Ambulance in Winnipeg for many years. She worked at Eaton's Catalogue Sales Centre in Winnipeg and for The Bay in Saskatoon after John was transferred there in 1970 with their daughters.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, John Brent in 2019, her daughter, Delores Brent in 2018, and her brothers, Lawrence, Bernard and Edward Krawchuk.
She is survived by her son Les Brent (June), daughter Audrey Brent, her grandson Jason Brent (Karen), granddaughter Wendy Matousek (Mark), great-grandson Reese Matousek, and her sisters, Alice Gore, Shirley Culbreth and Doreen Zachar.
Mildred is missed by her family, her loved ones, and her friends.
Mildred's body will be cremated. In view of the pandemic, funeral services will be held at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation Canada.
