ELEANOR ROTH

Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on March 31, 2020.
Eleanor was born on July 10, 1928 in Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her devoted husband George in 2001 and also by her parents, John and Teresa Meder and her siblings, Bill, John and Margaret.
Eleanor and George began their 54 year marriage in 1947. Prior to that, Eleanor attended St. John's High School and worked in her father's lumberyard.
Mom will be loved and missed forever by her four daughters, Linda Roth, Marge Cohen (Jack), Roslyn Roth (Howard) and Melissa Bellmore. She was adored by her six grandchildren, Jennifer Cohen, Allison Franks (Desi), Travis Bellmore (Andrea), Dylan Bellmore (Nicole), Jessica Mandell and Zachary Mandell. Mom (aka G2) loved being a great-grandmother to Carter and Reese Franks, Aurelia Bellmore and Harper Bellmore.
Our mother was a wonderful homemaker and was always available for her children. Mom's claim to fame was her baking and cake decorating. She created amazing birthday and wedding cakes and we always looked forward to her special treats. The rec room at 36 was the party place. Family and friends could always drop in unannounced and be welcome. Christmas Eve was an event we anticipated for months!
Mom and Dad travelled the world - Europe, Asia, Mexico - and enjoyed many cruises. After Dad passed, Linda took over as travel companion and Mom also visited the gang in South Carolina many times. She was always up for any adventure, including our shopping trips to Grand Forks and Fargo, as well as lunches, dinners, dance recitals, sporting events, or just hanging out.
Eleanor was an active participant at the Gwen Sector Senior Center and developed many new friendships. Over the last few years, she attended the Prime Program at Misericordia Hospital. We thank the staff there for helping with her social and medical needs. We're also grateful for her wonderful home care workers, Dorothy, Liza and Shelley, who went above and beyond to assist with Mom's golden years.
A celebration of her life will take place at a later date.
