SUSAN DIRKS
(nee WIEBE)
She was born in Winkler, Manitoba in 1929 and later moved to a farm northwest of Elm Creek in 1946. As luck would have it, her soon-to-be husband Walter lived on a farm one mile away. They went on their first date that year, and it bloomed into a loving and successful 67-year marriage.
Left with cherished memories are Susan's sons, Derek (Shari) and Patrick (Karen); her grandchildren, Isaac, Lily, Riley, Emily and Melissa and her siblings, Marge and Allan.
A Celebration of Life will be organized for a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your local food bank.
Special thanks to the staff at both the Rosewood and Simkin Centre for going above and beyond to care for Susan.
