It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Kevin Dales, beloved son, father, brother and uncle on Saturday, April 11, 2020, at the age of 58 years. Kevin was born December 16, 1961, in Thompson, MB and raised in Winnipeg, MB.
He was predeceased by his father Alan Dales and brother Ian Dales. Left to cherish his memory are his loving daughters, Taylor (Rob) and Sara; mother Daisy; sisters, Beryl Majorow (Peter), Cindy D'Aoust and Lesley Van Vliet (Jordan); many nieces; nephews; grandnieces, as well as many other relatives and countless friends.
Kevin was a dedicated employee at MacDon Industries for more than 35 years. His happiest times were spent with his two daughters and family, especially at family game nights and watching horror movies. He enjoyed all sports, excelled at softball and loved curling and golfing. He was a devoted fan of the Winnipeg Jets and Toronto Blue Jays, and liked listening to classic rock while going for Sunday night cruises in his '72 Cutlass.
Although his presence will be deeply missed, his spirit will live on in our hearts and memories.

Rest in peace our beloved Kevin
- no more pain.

A celebration of Kevin's life will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank friends and staff at Grace Hospital who watched over Kevin during his final struggle.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Diabetes Canada or CancerCare Manitoba Foundation in Kevin's memory.

  • My deepest sympathy to Kevin's family. I shared some wonderful times with Kevin growing up in Westwood. One memorable moment was returning a punt at football practice. It was a one on one drill and my goal was to get by the tackler. I was met a quarter of the way down field and Kevin did his job so quickly, I didn’t know what just happened to me. He excelled at all sports, a great friend and we shared many good times together. Kevin had the coolest fastback bicycle in the neighbourhood. rest in peace kevin - Posted by: stephen cholakis (westwood friend ) on: Apr 20, 2020

  • Kevin and I were best friends from about the age of 4 until we were teenagers. I moved to Vancouver after high school and never saw him again. I thought of him from time to time and wondered how he was doing. It is great to see that he was still playing pool and curling. We learned how to play pool at the Village Inn. Played lots of sports together - we played football for hours in Robert Browning Park. Had sleep overs at each other’s house 100s of times. And great to hear he was driving a ‘72 Cutlass. Classic. That is so Kevin. Rest In Peace Kevin. - Posted by: Tim Delaney (Friend) on: Apr 20, 2020
