Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • Neil and I grew up across the lane from one another in Winnipeg, he on Jessie Avenue and me on Corydon. We shared a love of model railways and of playing in the vacant lots that abounded in Fort Rouge in those days so long ago. My oldest of all memories is of the day my little brother was born because I was sent across the lane to sleep on the Lairds' couch. I remember meeting you, Gladys, when Neil was courting you and was at your wedding in Riverton. But then I drifted off down east and we had only fleeting contact over the decades. So sorry to hear of Neil's death. A great guy and like a big brother to me. - Posted by: Michael Moore (Childhood playmate) on: Oct 26, 2021

  • Sorry to just see of Neil’s passing. Neil was my flight instructor in 1977 when I was learning to fly. Was a great teacher and friend. My thoughts and prayers go out to you. - Posted by: Randy Abraham (Friend) on: Nov 23, 2020

  • Aunt Gladys My condolences on Uncle Neil's passing. Growing up and living so far away has resulted in a few but precious memories of Uncle Neil. I think of all of you often and my prayers are with you. The people we love live forever in our hearts. Your niece Eileen - Posted by: Eileen Tepsa (Niece) on: May 25, 2020

  • So sorry to hear of Neil's passing. Neil was my flight instructor in Helicopters, had some good times with him. Mrs. Laird, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Wayne - Posted by: Wayne Seesahai (Friend ) on: May 19, 2020

I hope to see you in the fall at bowling again as I so much enjoyed your company. Lorraine (your bowling team-mate) - Posted by: Lorraine Soshycki (Bowling team-mate) on: Apr 19, 2020
