• My sincere condolences to Dennis and Donna, Clarence and Donna and your families on the passing of Mrs. McLeod. I have fond memories of her especially as a child. I passed many Brownie badges and Girl Guide badges as Mrs. McLeod as my tester! She had a great happy laugh . My thoughts are with you all as you say goodbye to a wonderful lady. • I first met Elsie in the Fort Richmond Mall back in the mid 80's. I think she had a relative near there and we chatted one day as she admired an article of arctic clothing I was wearing. I invited her to my home nearby and we became friends. I have been making Inuit style skin clothing for my family which she wanted to see and in return I gave her a tanned (hair on) sealskin in return for her teaching me to make moosehide mukluks. I remember giving her a ride home one night to an address in Birds Hill...do I have the correct Elsie? May she ever rest in peace, a beautiful lady! We moved out of the city in the 90's and I lost track of her but think this is probably the same wonderful friend..
