Peacefully, with her loving husband Scott at her side, Sheila passed away at the Health Sciences Centre.
Sheila was predeceased by her mother Gwen (February 2015) and father Earl (June 2019).
Sheila was a very loving and caring person. If you were fortunate to cross paths with her, you were very lucky. If Sheila knew that you or someone in your family was having a tough time or were sick, she genuinely cared and would follow-up with you until things got better no matter how busy she was.
Her heart was huge and always filled with love. She was always a happy person, even in her darkest days. She will be missed by myself and everyone who cherished her friendship.
We would like to acknowledge and thank all of the medical professionals that were involved with us from the beginning to the end.
A private interment will take place at a later date.

She was one of a kind and a kind one.
She fought the good fight.

Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • I just found out about Sheila today. Now I haven’t talk to nor seen Sheila since the early 1980’s. We went to Cecil school together. I always remember her big love for the Jets and I was jealous she had a Jets jersey. I can still picture her and Val as inseparable friends. I have a soft spot for all my long ago Weston friends. RIP Sheila. The world is a little less with your smile missing from it. - Posted by: Darren Stevenson (School days friend and classmate) on: Jun 16, 2020

  • Scott, We are very sorry to hear about the passing of Sheila. Dad always enjoyed when you and Sheila would stop in and visit him at the farm and he wanted to be sure that you knew he was thinking of you at this time. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Gordon, Colleen & Lois - Posted by: Lois McGill (Friend and neighbour) on: Apr 30, 2020

  • May God be with you in your loss and may you know Sheila is remembered by us at St. Andrew’s. Take care Scott and may God walk with you side by side in your journey of grief. Sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Rev. Karen Lumley (Minister) on: Apr 30, 2020

  • Scott, I want to offer my heartfelt sympathies for the loss of Shiela. She and I worked together for many years at MTS in the Portage East building then again when I joined the marketing group. Sheila and I had many coffee dates, lunches and walks together. She was such a genuine, kind, good natured and good humoured person. I always enjoyed her company. She spoke of you and her parents often. I still have the Christmas CD she made for my children when they were small. I will bring it out this year in remembrance of her. RIP Sheila, You’ll be missed. Thanks for the great work memories. - Posted by: Diane Klawis (Former coworker ) on: Apr 25, 2020
