VICTORIA DESIREE PAVLICK
December 29, 1968 - April 19, 2020

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the time has come to say goodbye to Victoria (Vicky) Pavlick.
Vicky was born December 1968, to proud parents, Ronald and Kathleen Kirkham. She was raised in the Fort Garry area, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Vicky graduated from Vincent Massey High 1986. After enjoying a bit of "me" time and a few employment opportunities, Vicky decided to follow her passion of helping and working with people, and planted her roots in the dental field at a local office in Fort Richmond. It was there she spent her days over the last 29 years, a place where she enjoyed working, a place where she adored her work mates and patients, a place where everyone was like family to her. Vicky loved her career, and often mentioned her great admiration for employer George, who over the years moved to the top of her bf's list.
Vicky was a private person who enjoyed staying close to home and family, and took pride in caring for both. She enjoyed spending her spare time reading, taking long walks, puzzles, and just relaxing on the deck enjoying her space. She loved music, singing, dance, theatre, a good movie, and a good laugh.
We will always remember Vicky's sense of humour, her compassion and generosity. Without a doubt, she would always think of others before herself, she had a heart of gold, and her personality would attract you from across a crowded room. Vicky loved people, and would listen whenever, and to whatever they had to say. She was a loyal friend to many, and a great companion.
Vicky was our "best in class" wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. Moving forward, our "Guardian Angel"
Vicky was predeceased by her father Ronald Kirkham. Left to cherish her memories are Will (husband), Lexi (daughter), Kathleen (mother), brothers, Carl and Gary, faithful K9 Maggie, numerous relatives, and a long list of special friends.
Our dearest Vicky, it has been our pleasure to have known you and to have been blessed with your love for the precious time we had together. Until we meet again, your smiles and love will be forever in our hearts.
A special "Thank you" to all Health Sciences Centre, CancerCare, St. Boniface Hospital and Palliative Care staff that provided care and support for Vicky and family.
No formal funeral service will take place.

Condolences & Memories (39 entries)

  • I am so sorry and shocked to hear today, of Vicky’s passing. I was a patient for many years of Dr. Kalicinsky, and when I entered the office, Vicky always greeted you with a big smile and hello. She was a very caring and kind lady and very professional at her job. I left and moved back to Thunder Bay in 2013 when I had to go on disability and she gave me a hug and wished me well. She will definitely be missed. Condolences to Vicky’s family. - Posted by: Myrna Blunt (Patient of Dr. Kalicinsky) on: Dec 17, 2021

  • My deepest condolences to Vicky's beloved family and friends for the loss of this beautiful angel. I looked forward to hearing her cheerful "This is Vicky from Dr. Kalicinsky's office," over the phone every six months to remind me of my regular appointments, and seeing her in person once I arrived. Vicky radiated true kindness, abundant warmth, generosity of spirit and caring compassion and concern for patients while always going above and beyond. Vicky was very, very special to all of us and also became part of our own families. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. - Posted by: Holly Harris ((Patient)) on: Jun 12, 2020

  • Arrived for my appointment at the opening of phase 2 to find our Vicky not at the office, and in asking where she was, to find that she had passed, I was in shock. I have been coming there forever and one of the best things about going there, was the staff. Vicky was the first and last person we saw on each visit. Her beautiful smile, her laugh, her pride in her family. To her coworkers, her wonderful family and friends we send our sincere condolences. We will miss her deeply. - Posted by: Maureen and Fran (Patient) on: Jun 03, 2020

  • I have just learned about our sweet Vicky and my heart breaks for you Will, Lexi, and her Mom. During this time of Epidemic I kept thinking of this living Angel. Lexi and my granddaughter Hannah took a rhythmic class when they were about three years old and like so many others , Vicky and I would share about the girls right up to entering their University years. I am so sad and am having a difficult time expressing my sorrow. Sweet Angel, you will now be wrapped in the loving arms of God now . Hugs Will, Lexi, Kathleen. She has left a life long beautiful mark on my life. Tears as I write. - Posted by: Sandra Valois (acquaintance through Dr. Kalicinsky office ) on: May 07, 2020

  • To the family of Vicky: Will, Lexi, Mrs. Kirkham, Carl and Gary Vicky was the warm welcoming face that greeted us all at the dentist's office with a smile and heart-felt greeting. She knew many of our families and inquired appropriately about their activities, successes and general welfare as if we were all her relatives. She melted the worries that we had about our upcoming dental procedures, and allowed us to boast about our kids instead. I'm sure she could have developed a family tree for each of us laden with our kid's accomplishments, successes, degrees, travels, and subsequent families of their own. Vicky was the perfect greeter in the office - sunny, bright, and inviting. I know that all of us will miss her gentle, delightful greeting. But you, her family, will miss her most of all. I am sorry that she is gone, but her delightful smile and gentle greeting will be in our memories forever. - Posted by: Elaine Adam (Patient) on: May 06, 2020

She was a beautiful person inside and out. As a person with physical limitations, Vicky was always there for me; always sensitive to my needs. She couldn't do enough for people. Her kindness and compassion very evident at a young age. That was the kind of friend she was. I'm sad that I lost touch with her, but over the years Vicky has often come to my mind, and I remember with fondness the friendship we shared. I'm grateful for the time I had with her.
