He gave me things like nails, but also things like passion and a work ethic. He taught me things, mentored me, and set an example.
Don't build no appleboxes. He inspired us to become the people we are today.
It's been 10 years since he left us. Steve Burmey was a self-made man. He had a
genius about him. He was decisive and had guts. He was kind. He hated mediocrity. He woke up every day before sunrise to take on the day. His only drawback was maybe he worked too much.
Those who knew him
still remember him and love him.
I still love you, Pops. Always will.
